Empire Health Foundation’s Responsive Grant Program is designed to address one-time, emergent needs within its seven-county service area, which also includes the Colville, Kalispel, and Spokane Indian Reservations. After receiving 109 applications totaling $1.3 million in funding requests, EHF’s 2015 Responsive Grants Program supported 31 projects totaling $254,695.

2015 Rural Aging Responsive Cycle
In addition to the 31 projects listed above, EHF provided an additional $160,000 in support of 17 projects in Adams, Ferry, Lincoln, Pend Oreille, Stevens, and Whitman Counties through its inaugural Rural Aging Responsive Grant Cycle. These projects are designed to help older adults living outside of Spokane live full, meaningful lives with independence and dignity.
