Community power building through storytelling

Community power building through storytelling

We're working alongside community leaders to grow organizing and advocacy skills in eastern Washington.

This winter, our partner organization Empire Health Community Advocacy Fund kicked off a year-long series of training with the national political power building organization re:power. Re:power is a Pro-Black organization centering women of color and trans and gender-expansive people of color that builds community power and organizing skills across the country.

The first training brought partners from across the Spokane-community together to build their storytelling skills. We hope you enjoy this video and learning a bit about this work to uplift diverse community voices. This partnership is just getting started and will include future opportunities for in-person knowledge sharing events.

We'd love to see you at these quarterly events where emerging community leaders share the insights and tools their utilizing to build community power within and across traditionally underserved communities in Spokane and eastern Washington. Signing up for our newsletter is a great way to stay up to date with upcoming events and the work of our partners.
